| ACCUDOCK FLOATING H DOCK ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS |
This is a picture of the completed H Dock:
This H dock was installed with AccuDock Slide Assemblies to a cement seawall -
instructions for installing slide assemblies can be found on the web site under HELP &
SUPPORT: How to Install Slide Assemblies.
This set of instructions is for assembling the H dock only.
You should have the following items:
2 floating dock sections
1 overhead assist bar
2 heavy duty underwater connectors
8 - 2" set bolts & nuts (to attach underwater connector)
4 - 4" bolts, nuts and washers to replace the corner bolts in the float where the
underwater connectors will be slide into place and attached (these may already be
installed in your floats.
2 - 3 1/2" hex head bolts, with washers, lock washers and nuts, for bolting on the
overhead assist bar.
Step One: You can either put the H dock together on land or a dock, or put the floats in
the water and connect it together there. If you have the room and muscle to assemble it
on land and then transfer to the water - it makes it that much easier.
Step Two: Remove the thru-bolt and nut on the four corners of the floats where the
underwater connectors will be inserted to connect the two floats together - slide the
underwater connector in until it is fully in and flush with the corner of the float frame.

Step Three: Insert the NEW 4" thru-bolt and nut loosely, to hold the connector in place -
you will tighten them down later when both underwater connectors are in position.
The sequence is bolt - washer, lock washer, then nut.
Bolt, washer, lock washer then nut (DON’T TIGHTEN YET, UNTIL ALL 4 CORNERS IN PLACE)
Step Four: Screw two set bolts loosely into position on each underwater connector.
Step Five: Once you have both underwater connectors in place - tighten up hardware as follows:
- Tighten the thru-bolt sufficiently to flatten the lock washer - do not over tighten -
when the lock washer is flat, you are tight.
- Tighten the set bolts by screwing the set bolt up BY HAND, then a full turn with a wrench.
- Tighten the set bolt nut up with a wrench until it is snug.

Step Six: Position the overhead assist bar in the middle of the float and push into position
under the lip of the float.
Step Seven: Drill and thru-bolt the overhead assist bar into position using the hex head
bolts. Overhead assist bar should positioned in the middle of the float - however some
customers like it a little off center so that their body is getting off in the middle of the
float - so play around with it and once you find exactly where you want it - drill it and
bolt it down.
Congratulations - You have completed the assembly of the H dock:
