How to Build a Floating Work Platform

February 17 2020

Wondering how to build a floating work platform? Don’t! When it comes to safety, purchasing a stable, secure work platform is the way to go.

While building your own floating work platform might seem like the way to go, they are incredibly unstable and can puncture easily. Trying to paint, clean, or service your boat is, if not impossible, then quite difficult on a DIY marine work platform.

Why put your safety at risk? Why go through all the aggravation?  AccuDock’s floating work platforms are carefully designed and built to provide maximum stability and a non-skid UV resistant surface. If you’ve ever worked or walked on a wood dock, you know how slippery they get. You can’t beat the durability either.

Here are some things you need to know about our work floats.

Each float consists of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, which completely encapsulates a block of EPS foam.

What Is the Surface Texture?

The surface is the same plastic as the sides and bottoms. It is a non-skid levant texture finish which is a slightly raised texture providing excellent traction. The surface is not slippery when wet and because of the white color, it is cool to the touch even during hot summer months.
