About the Client
Hood Park, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, is nestled on the shores of Lake Wallula in eastern Washington. Created by the construction of McNary Lock and Dam on the Mid-Columbia River, the lake offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. Park amenities include camping, hiking, picnicking, and more.

About the Project
Hood Park encompasses a wildlife management area that includes two ponds stocked with trout several times a year. For years, Hood Park’s potential was held back by its shoreline. Without docks, fishing was limited to the bank, leaving many eager anglers and water sport enthusiasts yearning for a deeper connection to the water. Hood Park listened to the community and responded with a solution designed to open up the park to everyone.

About the Solution
The park has been enhanced with the addition of two brand-new floating dock systems, each designed to provide exceptional water access and safety. These state-of-the-art systems feature spacious 6′ x 15′ floating docks finished with stylish Harbor Grey PVC decking and Aluminum S Cleats, creating an inviting and durable platform for relaxation or recreation.
To ensure accessibility for all visitors, each dock is paired with a 4′ x 10′ ADA Compliant aluminum gangway. Equipped with slip-resistant decking, sturdy side railings, and supportive intermediate handrails, these gangways offer a secure and comfortable pathway to and from the water.
